Kajiura Yuki, born August 6, 1965, is a well-known Japanese composer and music producer. She was the keyboardist and composer of duo (formerly trio) See-Saw, which also includes vocalist Chiaki Ishikawa (石川智晶). Kajiura released her solo album Fiction in 2003, which she performed and promoted at Anime Expo 2003 in Anaheim, California.
Other than performing as a solo artist, she also pursued her career with other vocalists and formed a collaboration units including Yuuka Nanri (FictionJunction YUUKA), Asuka Kato (FictionJunction ASUKA), and Kaori Oda (FictionJunction KAORI). She is also producing Kalafina that consist of Wakana Otaki (大滝若菜 · FictionJunction WAKANA), Keiko Kubota (窪田啓子 · FictionJunction KEIKO), Maya, and Hikaru, who were all selected via audition by Kajiura herself. She currently resides in Tokyo.
She provided music for several popular anime series, including .hack//SIGN, Noir, EAT-MAN, Aquarian Age, Madlax, Elemental Gelade, Mai-HiME, Mai-Otome, Tsubasa Chronicles, Le Portrait de Petite Cosette, El Cazador de la Bruja, Kara no Kyoukai, and more. She has also composed music for several video games such as Blood: The Last Vampire for PS2, Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra, cutscenes of Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse and live musicals. As See-Saw, she performed theme songs for .hack//SIGN, .hack//Liminality, Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny, and insert songs for Noi.
Aside from composing for FictionJunction and Kalafina, her latest works includes the original soundtracks for popular series such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, Boku Dake ga Inai Machi, and the upcoming adaptation of LN Zaregoto OVA and Heaven's Feel (Fate series).
