YOHIO was born in a musical family in Sweden, began playing piano at the age of six, soon to start the composer. His encounter with the guitar was started when he was 11 years old. YOHIO was obsessed with its charm, playing the guitar becomes a part of life.
The summer of 2009, 14-year-old YOHIO began writing songs and formed a visual kei band Seremedy. The struggle to convene members, SEIKE soon joined as vocalist, the band completed in January 2010. Thereafter, they performed at the largest Japanese pop culture convention in Scandinavia, UppCon. On July 18 is live, visual-kei magazine appeared the same month, also in Japan Cure XO-Club in Moscow.
In March 2011, Seremedy signed contract with Nintone Records / Universal Music to release the "Bulletproof Roulette" song debut on the 11th. On April 8, EP "Seasons Will Change" was released.
In April 2013 Seremedy disbanded and YOHIO pursued a solo career. Yohio has participated in Melodifestivalen both in 2013 and 2014, making it to the final on both occasions.
In 2015 Yohio formed a new band called DISREIGN that consists of Valentin on guitar, Tias on drums and former Seremedy band mate, JENZiiH on bass. They released their first single and PV Until The Fade on May 8, 2015 and released the single world wide on August 5, 2015. The PV was directed by Die/may band member Riotcolor. This marked Yohio's return to a band and his second song in Japanese since Shiraha in 2015.
