U;nee’s dream has always been to become a singer. However, before she could make her debut as a singer in the pop music world, U;nee first appeared before the public as a teenager actress named Lee Hye-ryeon. Her first appearance on television was in “New Generation Report – Adults Don’t Know”, a KBS television drama aired in 1996. Her acting career continued for several years putting her in films like “Seventeen,” “Speeding” and television shows like “The Theme Game,” “The Tears of a Dragon” and “The King and the Queen.”
However, U;nee never gave up her dream to become a singer and finally in 2003, she made her debut as a singer. Before her debut, she had to undergo 3 years of hard training. From singing, song-writing and dancing, U;nee made herself into a sexy and powerful performer with the help from the top figures in the local music world. The song “Go” gained good response from her debut album. U;nee continued her career as only a singer since 2003. She released her second album “Passion & Pure” in 2005 and the response from pop music listeners has been even greater than her first songs. The title song “Call Call Call” was ranked on top of the local pop music charts for weeks.

Despite her fame she was soft-spoken and reserved. Unfortunately U;Nee committed suicide in her home on January 21st 2007. RIP U;Nee.
