Kimoto Kanon is a Japanese Idol Singer. She is a part of SKE48's Team E. Originally, she was from the 4th generation of Kenkyuusei, and was added to Team E on 6th December 2010.
Before being accepted in SKE48, Kimoto Kanon has appeared in television dramas "Chūgakusei Nikki", that aired on NHK Educational channel, on 26th June 2010.
She joined the auditions of SKE48 4th Generation because wants to be like Matsui Jurina and Matsui Rena. From the 5,888 applicants, she was among 16 people who have been accepted on 29 September 2010.
Although she is still a kenkyuusei and have not made her debut in the theatre, but she was elected as a member of Senbatsu singles during the 4th SKE48, " 1! 2! 3! 4! Yoroshiku! " in October 2010. The single includes two kenkyuusei as the members of Senbatsu , who are Kimoto Kanon and Yamada Erika.
Her first contribution to AKB48, was becoming a member of the "Under Girls" of 20th single, entitled " Sakura no Ki ni Narou ". Moreover, she was elected to fill a central position on the B-side song, entitled "Guuzen no Juujiro". Later, the single of "Manatsu no Sounds Good!" has become her first experience as a member of Senbatsu in AKB48.
At the 27th General Election for AKB48 single, which runs from May to June 2012, she managed to put herself at 56th place. Before that, she got 44th place in preliminary event. thus, this result made her one of the unit members of "Future Girls", who sing the song "Show Fight!".
Furthermore, at the "Jan-Ken-Pon Tournament" for AKB48 29th single in 2012, Kimoto kanon was included into the 8 members who qualified from the preliminary round for SKE48. In Nippon Budokan , he managed to get the 12th place from the tournament and was eligible to appear as a Senbatsu member for the song of "Eien Pressure".
