Kawashima Umika and the rest of 5 member girl group 9nine will face the challenge of voice acting for TBS anime "STAR DRIVER: Kagayaki no Takuto"!
It's the first time all five girls' voice acting talents will be put on show. On tomorrow's episode (6th of March), Kawashima will play the childhood friend of the main character Tsunashi Takuto. Sataki Uki, Nishiwaki Sayaka, Yoshii Kanae and Murata Hirona will all play female high school students who have come to see a play.
In October last year, Kawashima voiced the part of an owl in the Japanese release of US movie "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole"; this is her only other experience of voice acting. Kawashima hinted that maybe her character was a love interest!
Also, Satake, who is a big fan of STAR DRIVER said excitedly "I was so happy that I shouted out loud! (laughs)".
9nine are performing STAR DRIVER's new theme song SHINING☆STAR, which will be released as a single on the 9th of March.
The anime airs at 5pm every Sunday.
