B'z guitarist Tak Matsumoto Wins Grammy For Best Pop Instrumental Album
Guitarist Tak Matsumoto has won the prize for Best Pop Instrumental Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles. The award ceremony was held on Sunday night and Tak Matsumoto received this prize along with American guitarist Larry Carlton.

Their collaborative album "Take Your Pick" was released last year in June. It was nominated with four other nominees and won in the Best Pop Instrumental Album.
Along with this was pianist Mitsuko Uchida who won in the category of Best Instrumental Soloist Performance (with Orchestra) for her performance of Mozart's Piano Concertos Nos. 23 & 24 with The Cleveland Orchestra.
Tak Matsumoto (Takahiro Matsumoto) is in the J-rock, pop band B'z along with Koshi Inaba. Matsumoto is also the producer, composer and guitarist of the group.
