With a new single from King & Prince set to be released next month, group member Genki Iwahashi has resumed his activities, though in a limited capacity.
The idol had went on temporary hiatus in October 2018 due to a panic disorder that has plagued him since he was a child, but became more acute as his activities made it more difficult to cope with.
Iwahashi has been seeking treatment for the disorder, but still suffers from the condition. However, doctors have determined that he can resume some of his activities, though there will be some restrictions. This will also ease the transition from being inactive to being an active idol again.
"It may take some time to restore everything back to its original state. As I gradually return to that place, I will feel the joy of working again. I am cherishing every day, so please wait patiently for the day I can fully resume activities," Iwahashi said.
King & Prince will be releasing its 3rd single "Kimi wo Matteru" on March 20.
