Sayaka Yamamoto, a former member and center of NMB48, has announced the start of her solo activities.
Yamamoto marked the transition from her former self as an idol to her new self as a solo artist by cutting off 30 centimeters (12 inches) of hair. The stunt was photographed for her new promotional pictures.
The singer has formed a fan club named "SYC" to coincide with the start of her solo activities.
Her first official activity will be a nationwide tour titled "I'm ready". It will run from February 23 through June 2 with 27 performances during that time.
Yamamoto currently has 2 solo albums, "Rainbow" in 2016 and "identity" in 2017, which were released while she was in NMB48. The singer hopes to form her own identity now that she is no longer a NMB48 member.
