back number To Provide Theme Song For "Gintama 2"

back number will be providing the theme song to the upcoming movie "Gintama 2".

The title of the theme song is "Daifu Seikai". The song was written specifically for the movie.

The band's members are said to have been fans of the series since its original run in the early 2000s. 

"I've been reading Gintama every week since it began appearing in Shonen Jump. Writing this theme song felt like connecting with someone you've been friends with for 14 years. I was happy and had a lot of fun while writing it," vocalist Iyori Shimizu said.

"Gintama 2" will be released on August 17. back number's new song is expected to be released as a single around that time, though no official announcement has been made at this time.
