GFRIEND To Make Japanese Debut In May

GFRIEND is well established and popular in South Korea. The group is looking to translate its success to the Japanese market.

Source Music, GFRIEND's agency in South Korea, announced on February 23 that the group will be making its debut in Japan this May. The group will be signed to King Records, making them label mates with other popular acts such as AKB48, Nana Mizuki and Momoiro Clover Z.

"The time we've been waiting for has finally arrived! We are showing up in Japan! I am very excited. We will do our best and see you in good spirits," group leader Sowon said.

Details about what the group will be debuting for its debut have not been announced at this time.
