Flower's Shuuka Fujii Retires From Entertainment Industry Due To Spinal Injury

Shuuka Fujii, a member of Flower and unit group ShuuKaRen, has retired from the entertainment industry due to a spinal issue.

Fujii put her activities on hold in October 2017 after doctors found that her 4th and 5th cervical vertebrae had herniated. The injury has worsened since then, compelling the singer to leave the entertainment industry.

"I don't want to cause any more trouble to the members and staff of Flower, ShuuKaRen, and especially my fans who always supported me," the singer explained.

In the immediate future, Fujii will focus on treatment for her condition. Long term, the singer has expressed interest in art, fashion and photography.

Fujii has been experiencing pain for over 3 years. The condition became more severe over the summer of 2017. At its worst, the singer's arm would become numb and unable to move.
