Country Girls has announced that 3 of its member will be transferring to different groups within Hello! Project as it reduces its activities.
On June 30, group member Momoka Tsuganaga will be retiring from the entertainment industry. Risa Yamaki and Mai Ozeki will be focusing on their studies, but will not be graduating from the group.
Chisaki Morito, Nanami Yanagawa and Musubu Funaki, the remaining 3 group members who will remain fully active, will be transferring to different groups within Hello! Project. Placements for the idols have not been decided at this time.
Although the 5 members of Country Girls will all be doing new things, the group will not be disbanding. It will regroup during school breaks and holidays, but the full extent of how active the group will be again remains to be seen.
Country Girls will be participating in Hello! Project's 2017 summer tour as a 5-member group. It is expected to the group's last time together before its changes are implemented.
