Mr.Children's "HANABI" To Be Used As Theme Song For "Code Blue" Season 3

Mr.Children's beloved song "HANABI" will be used as the theme song for the upcoming 3rd season of the Fuji TV medical drama "Code Blue".

"HANABI" was originally written in 2008 to be the theme song for the first season of "Code Blue". It was later used in 2010 for the drama's 2nd season.

The producers of the drama's 3rd season, set to begin airing in July, decided to keep things consistent and retain the show's recognizable theme song.

"You could almost say that 'HANABI' is like the show's 6th character. We've been following the same characters for the 1st and 2nd season, so it wouldn't feel the same if one of those characters were missing," Atushi Masumoto, the drama's producer, stated.

Season 3 of "Code Blue" will take place 5 years after the 2nd season. While the characters have all changed during this time, the theme song will remain unchanged.
