Rihwa will be going on a temporary hiatus as she seeks treatment for vocal chord polyps.
The singer has been active despite already knowing about her condition. however, due to the affects the growth of the polyps could have on her ability to sing, Rihwa has decided to seek treatment.
Rihwa plans on undergoing surgery to remove her vocal chord polyps. Starting at the end of February, the singer will be pausing her activities as she has her procedure and recovers from the surgery.
"I decided to seek treatment so that I can continue singing in the future...This year on July 11 it is my 5th anniversary since debuting. My goal is to be able to make you laugh and smile on that day," Rihwa stated.
Rihwa was scheduled to perform a concert on March 3rd in Hiroshima at CLUB QUATTRO. Refunds are being issued for people who had already bought tickets, and the singer personally apologized for the cancellation.
