Enon Kawatani, the vocalist of Gesu no Kiwami Otome and indigo la End, is hoping to make a comeback in 2018.
During an appearance on October 12, Kawatani addressed an audience regarding his future plans. The singer had previously stated that he will "definitely comeback". He now says he hopes to return in 2018.
While an eventual comeback was expected, Kawatani surprisingly went into further detail about what he envisions for the future. Although backlash from the incident continues, he wants to write music about his affair with Becky. "Why not [sing] about the two of us?" Kawatani said.
At the beginning of 2016, Kawatani was caught having an affair on his wife with Becky. The affair was one of the biggest controversies of the year and remains a hot issue. While Kawatani continued to release music and faced few consequences to his career, Becky's career was put on hold due to TV programs, ads and more quickly dropping her.
Kawatani justified his desire to write music about the affair, explaining that the lyrics would be deep and meaningful.
"When it's all said and done, I just want to make music. Music is everything. I plan on continuing making music not just for myself, not just for [the band] members, but for the fans," he said.
Despite his cavalier attitude towards the incident, Kawatani still spoke of remorse, apologizing for hurting and betraying the people in his life.
Kawatani left the event with a mask over his face. He was swarmed by reporters who bombarded him with questions. He did not answer any of their questions.
Enon Kawatani was recently caught at a bar with his 19-year-old girlfriend Rin Honoka who was drinking underage. The incident received quick condemnation, causing the singer to halt his activities. The release of Gesu no Kiwami Otome's planned 3rd studio album "Dharma Ringo" was cancelled as well.
