EXO Headlined Dream Concert, Newbies from Seventeen to Red Velvet Did Great Performance

Dream come true.

EXO, SHINee’s Taemin, Infinite’s Woohyun, B1A4, I.O.I and other great artists gathered on Dream Concert 2016 on Sunday’s evening, June 4th. EXO headlined the event. The festival was held at Sangam Stadium, Seoul, gained 60 000 dedicated fans of Korean pop music.

To open Dream Concert 2016 as first MCs, Junghan, Mingyu and Jun from Seventeen came up on stage. “Ladies and Gentlemen, are you ready for the show?” asked one of MCs. “We want to hear your loud voices. Let us cheer up and begin the show!” screamed one of the members and the festival kicked off.

In the beginning, newbies, WANNA.B, A.cian, ROMEO, Berry Good, TAHITI, April, B.I.G, LABOUM, CLC one by one appeared on stage. Next to them GFRIEND’s Yuju, Oh My Girl’s Seunghee, Fiestar’s Yezi, I.O.I’s Kim Sejeong and Red Velvet’s Seulgi have made a surprize collaboration to perform together BoA’s song “One Dream.” The idea came up from the festival’s motto “Dream come true,” so the girls whose dreams have come true decided to collaborate and share to the public through BoA’s song the real meaning of it.

Next performances were represented by a slew of artists of different genres. IMFACT, Joo, Hon Jin-young, 24K, HALO, Fiestar, Boys Republic were appearing on stage to the screams of excited audience. Spectators saw every performance as it was their favourite artist, so it made really great vibes in the venue.

Newbies I.O.I with “Pick Me” and “Dream Girls,” NCT U and MAMAMOO have made its first appearance on the festival. NCT U, tended to hold a title of a “hot artist” recently, was welcomed very warmly.

Unfortunately, some members from Seventeen and LOVELYZ could not participate in the concert. Wonwoo from Seventeen was absent due to acute gastritis, while Lee Mi Ju from LOVELYZ, earlier, injured the ankle and appeared on the venue in a plaster.

A second collab song “Run across the Sky” of Lee Juck was performed by VIXX’s Leo and Ken, B1A4’s Sandeul, BTOB’s Sungjae and Eunkwang.

Then, another slew of groups made their appearances on the stage like as T-ARA, NU’EST, Red Velvet, GFRIEND, VIXX, BTOB, B1A4. DJ DOC did his surprised performance after T-ARA, added great vibes to the venue.

The final stage was shared by Infinite’s Woohyun, SHINee’s Taemin and the headliner group EXO. Fans were overwhelmed with emotions and happiness.

In the end 0f the concert, all the artists came up on the stage and holding hands sang along TVXQ!’s song “Balloons.”
