GFRIEND To Enter Japanese Market This Year
GFRIEND will be venturing into the Japanese market before the year ends.

Source Music CEO So Sung Jin discussed plans for the group's future for the rest of the year. One of the points made was his intention to bring GFRIEND to Japan.

"GFRIEND will enter the Japanese market this year no matter what," he said.

The company is currently in talks with 5 Japanese companies as potential partners for GFRIEND's Japanese activities. The initial cost of doing business is not of concern for the agency. Instead, its decision will be based on which company it thinks will best help GFRIEND enter the new market.

In addition to plans for a Japanese debut, Source Music is also looking in to promoting the group in China. However, the agency is being more cautious in its approach to entering the Chinese market.

Before expanding to international markets, GFRIEND will be promoting in Korea over the summer. Details about the group's domestic comeback haven't been set.
