has successfully undergone her first round of skin grafting surgery.
On March 4, SNH48's agency released an update on Tang's condition. The singer had received skin grafting surgery on her eyes, eye lids, arms and knees. Dead tissue, referred to as necrotic tissue, was also removed.
Tang is scheduled to receive surgery on her legs next week, but it will dependent on her condition at that point. The idol is currently not out of danger, and risk of infection will continue to be high over the next month.
Hospital staff have prohibited visitors from seeing Tang. They have also requested that fans and friends not disturb medical staff.
Tang suffered from severe burns across 80% of her body after she was engulfed in flames at a Shanghai cafe on March 1. The cause of the fire and the circumstances leading up to it are currently unclear.
