Momoiro Clover Z Sets Oricon Record With New Albums
Momoiro Clover Z has become the first artist to hold the #1 and #2 spots on the weekly Oricon album chart with original albums multiple times.

Momoiro Clover Z simultaneously released its new albums "Hakkin no Yoake" and "Amaranthus" on February 17. "Hakkin no Yoake" held the #1 spot with 81,254 copies sold and "Amaranthus" held the #2 spot with 80,783 copies sold.

With its latest chart toppers, Momoiro Clover Z has become the first artist to hold the #1 and #2 spots simultaneously with original albums. Its first time achieving this was during the 2nd week of April 2013 when its then new album "5TH DIMENSION" was #1 and its 2011 album "Battle and Romance" was #2.

Only a handful of artists have ever held the #1 and #2 spots on the weekly Oricon album chart with original albums. Keiko Fuji, Yosui Inoue, Kei Ogura, Southern All Stars, BUCK-TICK, TUBE, L'arc~en~Ciel and Glay have all accomplished this feat in addition to Momoiro Clover Z.
