YG Entertainment Partners with NBC Universal in Producing Latest Korean Drama
YG Entertainment goes beyond music production as it was recently revealed that it will co-produce upcoming Korean drama "Moon Lovers" with major American studio NBC Universal. The drama will star top Korean artists IU, Lee Joon Gi, Kang Ha Neul, EXO's Baekhyun, and many more. According to media sources, the drama will finish filming before it airs on television.

YG Entertainment has already launched a clothing and make-up brand. Last week, it was revealed that resident YG artists G-Dragon and Taeyang have each invested millions in YG's sub brands YG Plus and Code Cosme International (Moonshot Cosmetics). Following this, G-Dragon and Dara of 2NE1 are pairing as the brand ambassadors for Code Cosme.

In line with these business ventures, the top talent agency also plans to widen its scope by launching cosmetics and oriental medicine products as well as items inspired by characters in dramas and media content like never-before scene clips. Regarding this business expansion, a representative from YG said, “With the investment in ‘Moon Lovers,’ we are laying the groundwork for our content creation, investment, and distribution business, as well as additional ventures.
