NICO Touches the Walls
guitarist Daisuke Furumura
has broken the 4th and 5th metacarpal bones in his right hand.
The injury occurred while the band was in the studio. Furumura's hand got caught in a door as it was closing, sending him to the hospital.
After completing surgery, doctors advised that Furumura take 2 months off to recover from the injury. He will be unable to play during this time.
In a statement regarding the injury, Furumura apologized for causing those who care about him to worry. He also promised to focus his efforts on recovery so he can return to the stage and put on a good performance for his fans again.
NICO Touches the Walls is schedule to perform a live show on November 25. This will occur as scheduled with the remaining 3 members.
The band's scheduled live on December 23 has been postpone and was rescheduled for May 8. The band hopes to be able to perform normally again beginning in January.
