The Seoul Central District Court
has announced that Luhan
and SM Entertainment
will be attempting to mediate the lawsuit between the two.
Luhan moved to nullify his contract with SM Entertainment on October 10 by filing a lawsuit similar to former EXO
group mate Kris
. On November 25, The Seoul Central District Court revealed that on that same date, the two decided to enter a court-referred mediation to attempt to amicably resolve the problem.
If Luhan and SM Entertainment are unable to come to a mutual agreed upon resolution, the two will be entering the courtroom to determine whether Luhan's contract may be terminated or not.
Ex-group member Kris entered mediation over the summer with SM Entertainment during his case against the company. The two were unable to come to a mutual resolution
Luhan has claimed that SM Entertainment discriminated against him and the other Chinese members of EXO. The Korean members were given preferential treatment and given more opportunities, according to Luhan.
SM Entertainment has denied allegations of discrimination. The company dismissed the validity of Luhan's lawsuit, stating that he is after personal gain and fame.
