Various Jrockers Join Forces for
Katsumasa Enokiya's manga "Hibi Rock" finally gets a live action adaptation and giving it more street cred are several noteworthy names in the jrock scene.

Sitting at the music producer's chair is Supercar guitarist Junji Ishiwatari. 9mm Parabellum Bullet vocalist Yoshimitsu Taki will compose a song as well as bands Hosomino Shyboy and Wasureranneyo. Bakudan Johnny's song "Owari Naki Gogo no Bokensha" is already featured in the film's trailer released late last week.

Trippy band THE SALOVERS and visual kei band MISARUKA will provide music for the film's fictional bands Inu Rape and Langoliers, respectively.

Lastly, Kuro Neko Chelsea's drummer Keisuke Okamoto and THE SALOVERS vocalist Yutaro Furutachi will both be making their movie screen debuts in "Hibi Rock". Okamoto will be essaying the role of a drummer named Akira Yoda while Furutachi will play one of the members of Inu Rape.

"Hibi Rock" premieres in Japan on November 22.
