After spending five days on emergency leave,
Super Junior's
Leeteuk has returned to his military duties to complete his mandatory conscription.
Despite his terrible loss, there is no change to Leeteuk's discharge date.
SM Entertainment confirmed that the idol will still be leaving the military on July 29 like originally planned.
According to a representative from the Military Manpower Administration, a parent's death is not grounds for an early discharge. However, reductions and exemptions can be made if applied for. With SM Entertainment's statement, it seems unlikely that Leeteuk will be applying to do so.
Leeteuk went on emergency leave on January 6 after discovering his father and two of his grandparents
had died. Police report that Leeteuk's father killed the grandparents and then hung himself in a murder-suicide.
