Mamoru Miyano (Chihayafuru, Death Note, High School Host Club) stars in the Sci-Fi romance anime film 'Hal'. The film revolves around Kurumi (Yōko Hikasa) who loses Haru (Yoshimasa Hosoya), the boy she loves, in a plane accident. To help her move on, 'robot Hal' acts as a replacement for Haru.
Mamoru Miyano plays Ryu, Haru's old friend. The two boys worked in an illegal child labour force as children.
Other notable Seiyū (voice actor) joining the cast are
Shinpachi Tsuji (Master Keaton, Fairy Tail) and
Tamio Ohki (Eureka Seven, Ghost in the Shell) who play Dr. Aranami and Kurumi's grandfather respectively.
Ryoutarou Makihara, who has been involved with animes such as
Guilty Crown and
The Tatami Galaxy, will be debuting as a director with this film at
Wit Studio.
The film will be released on
June 8.
