YG Entertainment Ends Contract With SuPearls Before Group Debuts
SuPearls, a YG Entertainment girl group preparing for their debut, will no longer get their chance at stardom as the company ends its contract with the group.

"We've decided to nullify the contracts of Lee Michelle, Lee Jung Mi and Lee Seung Joo without any conditions," a YG Entertainment representative stated.

Lee Hi, one of the 4 members of SuPearls, will remain with YG Entertainment exclusively as a solo artist. With the success of her debut single "1,2,3,4" and a new album coming out in March, it comes as no surprise that the company kept her.

"Although it's disappointing, they decided to break up for their mutual benefit, so we had no choice but to make this decision," the representative said.

Netizens have expressed their disappoint over SuPearls' disbandment. Many have been waiting for the group's debut for most of 2012.

SuPearls rose to fame on the singing competition "K-pop Stars". Although they didn't win the competition, YG Entertainment signed a contract with the group. The company added Lee Hi to the line up later on. YG Entertainment repeatedly stating their intent to debut the group throughout 2012, though they never released any music.
