Tomohisa Yamashita To Form New Unit "The MONSTERS" With Katori Shingo

Katori Shingo and Yamashita Tomohisa formed this new unit called "THE MONSTERS" and produced the theme song for their upcoming drama series "MONSTERS" which will be aired in October.
TBS producer Ishimaru Akihiko commented their decision of producing the song themselves as follows: "Their idea was totally unexpected. Without having read the script their song was perfectly suitable for the image we had in mind.I thought that this is exactly what a theme song should mean: I’m grateful that they’ve introduced me to this song".
This is not the first unit formed by Yamashita: during his career he formed "‘Shuji to Akira" with KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya and sang the theme song "Seishun Amigo" for "‘Nobuta wo Produce".
"MONSTER" is included in SMAP's "GIFT of SMAP" which was released in August. It will also be released as a single on November 14th along with a different version of the song and a cover of Pink Lady's "Monster".
