Open World Entertainment CEO
Jang Suk Woo has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for the sexual assault of female trainees within his agency.
Earlier this year, the an investigation led to the arrest of the CEO on grounds of sexually harassing his female artists and
forcing his male artists to join him. He was later
found guilty of charges that included raping several female trainees and violating child protection laws.
In addition to his jail sentence, judge
Yoo Won Jae of the Seoul Central District Court sentence the CEO to 40 hours of sexual assault treatment.
Prosecutors originally requested the CEO be sentenced to 9 years in prison. However, after a petition for favorable treatment on July 12th and an apology letter on July 18th, his sentence was reduced.
