Oh? That´s... quite the change there >.> It´s not rude at all to not respond to my messages all the time. But if you want to change I´m not gonna stop you doing so. Well like I mentioned he had quite a year at some point when his music was everywhere.
I did. The songs you sent were nice change to the other music I listened that day :P Please do send more songs whenever you feel like doing so :)
Learning Finnish? Let me warn you... speaking Finnish is much easier than learning to write it. But if you have enough dedication... go for it.
I guess you´re right. I mean like... others may not support me doing so but I honestly don´t care about what they think. Like... even thought I´m helping her now I´m not honestly expecting her to do the same to me. But basically kicking her when she´s already down... it´s not cool. Well... there´s that little rant done <.<
The language of the song? It´s Gøtudanskt. It´s spoken in Faroe Islands. The band is Tyr is from there and most of their (at least their best songs \m/ \m/) are sung with that language. The name Sinklars Visa translates to Sinclairs Ballad in English. Also their music is considered to be Viking Metal. And what they singing about on the song. They are singing about the attack of Scottish mercenaries at Norway and then Norwegian farmers defending their homes and defeating the Scottish attackers.
Here are the translated lyrics of the song:
Mr. Sinclair went across the salty sea, For Norway his course was set; Among the cliffs of Gudbrands he found his grave, A bloody forehead was dealt.
Well before day They come over the heath
By the coasts of Romsdal he steered ashore, Declared himself an enemy, Fourteenhundred men followed him, All with bad intentions.
Well before day They come over the heath
They defiled and burned where ever they came, All rights they trampled. The old mans weakness didn't touch them, They taunted the crying widow.
Well before day They come over the heath
The soldier is out on the kings convoy, We must defend the land ourselves; Damned be the treacherous fool, That now wants to spare his blood.
Well before day They come over the heath
Those farmers of Våge, Lesje and Lom, With sharp axes on their backs, Got together in Bredebøjg; They wanted to chat with the Scots.
Well before day, They come over the heath
Well before day They come over the heath
Over the heath Over the heath Over the heath Over the heath
Close by the hillside a path lies That tey call Kringen, The Lågen rushes closely by, Therein shall the enemy fall.
Well before day They come over the heath
The Kringen was strewn with dead bodies, Those ravens were well fed; The blood of youth that there was shed The Scottish girls bemoan
Well before day They come over the heath
Still a monument stands on that very place Where the enemies of Norway threaten; Woe to each Norwegian who doesent grow warm Whenever he lays eyes upon it.
Well before day They come over the heath
Well before day They come over the heath
Over the heath Over the heath Over the heath Over the heath
And to the end here is another song for you to listen to:
