Biography
Yukihiro "Chachamaru" Fujimura has been on the music scene since his early teens. Starting out with bands like Ded Chaplin on guitar, and as a studio musician which earned him a spot in the credits of X Japan's Blue Blood, by way of knowing Toshi.
At the start of the decade Cha found himself fronting a popular progressive band, Gerard, thanks to the producer of CRIME (King) records. The songs on the albums were stories, usually ones paralleling those that spoke of knights and chivalry, and maidens in distress.
In the mid eighties he joined forces with Shusei Tsukamoto and formed Vienna. Another progressive band that mixed hard guitar, driving drum and bass beats against light keyboards, and Cha's wispy vocals. Each album was a story unto itself, a novel through music, this time the themes moving from knights and damsels, to the fairy tales of Aladan and the mythology of Egypt.
Though somewhere in the middle Gerard wanted to take a different turn in which Cha himself wasn't very excited about. So rather then stay, he quietly bowed out and was replaced as the vocalist and guitarist.
Reuniting the members of Vienna in the mid nineties for one more album, and then once again slipped back into silence.
Now in his mid 30's Cha found himself producing and working with other bands more on the sidelines and inside studios. He produced for Masafumi Nishida's (ex Ded Chaplin & Loudness) Girl U Need, and produced and played on Toshi's solo albums after he had left X.
It was about this time he was introduced to Nippon Crown's new acquisition and told to "help him out." This new bit of talent being Gackt.
Cha worked along side this man Gackt and his friends for several years as bandleader, lead guitar, backup vocals, and producer. It wasn't until late in 2002 did he manage to put out his first solo album, Air.
Air brought Cha's storytelling through music back to the foreground, as he brought many of his old friends (Shusei Tsukamoto, Masafumi Nishida, and Ryuichi Nishida) and new (Gackt and You) into the studio with him to record.
All of the above events took place in Cha's first home where he existed before he came to live where he is now with the members of JOB in JRRP.
Cha's life from 2003-Janurary 2004 was spent with kamui_gackt, in a place where it was just the two of them. Kamui disappeared and seemed to simply fade from existence in the beginning months of 2004, which left Cha alone until late 2005 when he approached Gackt_Camui about joining his JOB.
Since then Kamui has made two more appearances to Cha, but the encounters are usually brief and fleeting, leaving Cha with no closure and lots of unanswered questions.
Despite having his new family and friends, the resurfacing of his old flame tends to open deep wounds and cause Chacha to further shut himself off from the idea of any future love and relationships outside the usual friendships he has formed.
Since coming to JRRP, Cha's been dubbed with a new nickname Fujiyuki by Masa, and will now answer to that, he will also answer to Wifey-chan, but only when coming from Gackt_Camui.
Having a new home has involved many growing pains and adjusting to new ways of life that Cha is not accustomed to. He is always eager to make friends, but can often seem extremely withdrawn or shy around them. He has a tendency to bottle up emotions and not express them for months at a time until they explode, most times with rather embarrassing results.
He enjoys music, drinking, smoking, cracking lame jokes, walking, the color pink, and collecting anything Egyptian. he currently resides alone in a small apartment close to the studio so that he can be within walking distance of work.
