In 2017, the group was the first non western act to be invited and nominated for the BillBoard Awards show. They were nominated for most active on social media and was announced the winner - outwinning Justin Beiber, Ariana Grande and more. This came days before the boys held their annual FESTA (which is a yearly interactive anniversary between ARMY and BTS)
With more western attention aimed at the boys, BIGHIT and the boys dropped a new logo as well as a new international name. As the boys had no official English names, fans had resorted to using the translation of their Korean name (Bullet Proof Boy Scouts). In the West, they will now refer to themselves as "Beyond the Scene" - a play on the meaning of BTS which originally meant "Behind the Scenes".
