Uruha, born as Takashima Kouyou (高島 宏陽) on June 9th, 1981 in Kanagawa, is the lead guitarist of the GazettE. He and Reita, the bassist, have been great friends for a very long time (since middle school).
He was raised in a family with a mother, father, and two older sisters. He now has two nephews as well.
He is a pretty heavy drunkard, as he drinks outside and in.
In around 2001, him, Ruki, and Reita formed the band that will be later (in 2002) named the GazettE.
Uruha, being the lead guitarist, is well-known for his use of the shredding technique in most if not all of his solos.
Like all the current members of GazettE, Uruha takes this band and its music very seriously, and "Wouldn't trade it for the world".
For most people and GazettE fans, Uruha is most commonly known for showing his thighs in his costumes. According to him, he actually "Doesn't enjoy it as much as the fans do".
