Okay... so i don't know exactly what it means "é que" in some sentences like for example:
Como é que se chama?
O que é que ela quer comer?
O que é que você vai fazer na terça-feira?
I understand these questions without "é que" but i don't know what is the difference if i put this phrase in the sentence. I would be grateful if you could explain it ![]()
é (ser = to be) is a verb 'que' is a pronoun we use as conective like "that" and "what in english. In english this conective is optional, in portuguese it isn't.
