History
The members first met when they were in kindergarten, where Fujiwara, Naoi, and Masukawa shared a class; Masu did not know the other three at the time. In elementary school Fujiwara attended a different school than the other three, but remained close friends with Naoi.

Later, the four ended up in the same class in seventh grade. It was at this time that the members recognized each other. (Masukawa said to Fujiwara "I remember you! We were in the same kindergarten class!";) The four all attended the same junior high school and, when they were in eighth grade Masu said to Fujiwara: "Let's form a band and change the history of rock." They saved their money throughout junior high to buy musical instruments; Fujiwara mentions that he saved his food money instead of using it to eat.

In high school they mainly worked on Beatles covers at their high school festivals and wrote some original music, all of it initially in English.

They won their first award in 1996 at the age of 17 for a song entitled 'DANNY', written entirely in English. That same year they performed 'Glass no Blues' ("Blues of Glass";) and won further awards. They then released a demo tape at a live performance in 1997 that sold out in 10 minutes. The band was then put on hold as the members attended college.

The band was resumed in 1998, and in 1999 they released their first album, 'Flame Vein'. Their first single, 'Lamp', was released later that year. In 2000 they recorded their first promotional video, 'Glorious Revolution', and released their second album, 'The Living Dead', as well as holding their first live tour. Their second single, 'Diamond', was also released in this year.

The group's popularity began to rise in the year 2001 with the release of their third single, 'Tentai Kansoku' (meaning "Star Gazing"), a song that got them more attention from the public. It became an extremely popular song and their third album, 'Jupiter', was released the following year. The following years brought more live tours, more singles, and in the year 2004 they released their fourth album, 'Yggdrasil'. Most recently, they released two singles, 'Planetarium' in July and 'supernova/karma' in November. Their live tour 'Run Rabbit Run' is scheduled to take place starting on January 13, 2006.

The songs "Tentai Kansoku", "K", "Sailing Day" and "Karma" were later used in the musical arcade game by Bemani in GuitarFreaks and DrumMania.

The song "Karma" from their Supernova / karma album is the main theme for Namco's Tales of the Abyss video game.
