GIRL NEXT DOOR (sometimes shortened as 'GARUNEKU (ガルネク)'
is J-Pop band formed by 3 members and is centered in Chisa, the vocalist. The band was created in 2008 and produced by avex trax. They debuted on September 3rd, 2008 with their debut single Guuzen no Kakuritsu.

Early Days
Chisa was originally a dancer based in the Kansai area. Avex noticed her performance and presence and encouraged her to take lessons in Tokyo. She entered the Avex Artist Academy on a scholarship, and there met Suzuki Daisuke, who was a writer mainly contributing tracks for other artists. After recording several demo tracks together, the two caught the attention of Avex CEO, MAX Matsuura. After adding Inoue Yuji as guitar, they set to make their debut in September 2008.
They had several promotions in Japan, mainly in diaries and magazines. The PV for their first single, Guuzen no Kakuritsu, was filmed in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

* Suzuki is a former member of avex's unit day after tomorrow.
* Inoue began playing guitar when he was 14 and became a professional as a support guitarist when he was 22.
