SCANDAL is an all-girl pop punk band from Osaka, Japan who made their "indie" debut in 2008. They have released 3 singles on the Kitty label that were sold exclusively at Tower Records Japan; they have since become available on iTunes in both the US and Japan.

Scandal was formed by 4 high school classmates in Osaka, Japan in 2006. They first performed in public as street performers in Osaka's Castle Park. Over time their performances began to draw a regular, enthusiastic crowd and they began to catch the attention of people in the music business. Scandal were invited to perform at various venues around Osaka and Kyoto and they eventually were invited to perform at events in Tokyo as well.

In April, Scandal performed at Japan Night at the "South by Southwest Music Fest" in Austin, Texas, USA and toured the country with other Japanese Bands, performing in New York City, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Seattle. They returned to Seattle shortly afterwards to perform at the anime convention "Sakuracon".

Scandal has since returned to Japan and has been busy performing at various events while writing and recording new songs. There has been no announcement as of yet about future releases. Scandal is scheduled to perform at the "Japan Expo 2008" in Paris, France.
