Wonder Girls is a girl-group that debuted in 2007. The Wonder Girls consist five members. They are Sun Yae, Hyu Nah, Sun Mi, Soh Hee, and Yae Eun.Wonder Girls is a South Korean girl band with five members, formed under the guidance of male R&B singer Rain. They are signed to South Korean label JYP Entertainment.They debuted in the beginning of 2007 on M! Countdown, singing Irony, the title song of their debut album, "The Wonder Begins". Each of the members were selected by audition; the oldest member, Ye Eun, was the last member to be added, after having previously been rejected.

由Rain的经纪公司JYP培养的神秘女子组合Wonder Girls, 于2006年12月22日通过韩国MTV播放的十集实时报道“MTV Wonder Girls”节目首次公开亮相，并于2007年02月13日Showcase正式出道。Wonder Girls是由朴镇英选拔出来的女生组合,在2001年公开的audition节目SBS<英才培育>中通过研究项目99%的实力较量中脱颖而出的成员闽先艺(17)队长，金泫雅(15),安昭熙(15),宣美(15),而第5名成员则是在和MTV共同公开通过audition选拔确定了最终成员朴誉恩(18)。JYP公司表示,现在的 wonder girls还不能称为女子组合,因为这5名成员都还只是中学女生,因此比起女子组合这个称号,少女组合更适合。而Wonder Girls出道的首张专辑由朴镇英全权负责制作收录单曲Irony。
歌曲《Irony》是一首很容易上口Hip-hop的旋律，也是专辑的主打歌曲。《Irony》内容是不相信装纯情的男友，MV内容极其搞笑，充分展现了几个女孩子天真活泼的一面。混音方面由美国的Brian Stanley负责。主打歌MV是由曾拍过Rain《It’s Raining》、《I’m Coming》MV的导演负责。
