Eiko Shimamiya is a female J-Pop singer and member of the production team I've Sound. She joined I've in 1999, performing on various I've Sound compilation albums. She has also performed as a member of various I've Sound groups, including Healing Leaf and Love Planet Five. In addition, she has also gone under the stage names EIKO and PEKO. She is also known for singing both opening themes of the anime Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, as well as the opening and ending theme for the upcoming live-action adaption, making it her third tie-in with the series.
Eiko had released three albums prior to her debut under Geneon Entertainment, and released her first major label album ULYSSES in 2005. She released her first full-length album O on October 4, 2006 and will release her second full-length album, Hikari Nadeshiko on April 2, 2008.
Eiko composes the majority of her music, and writes all of her lyrics. She runs a music school called Shimamiya Size (S-size) in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
