MINMI is an exceptionally rare artist. She primarily does all songwriting, arrangements, and production work. Her production ability and her talent to blend sounds has made her sought out by some of the biggest names in the industry from all over the world.
She also produces the reggae group "湘南ノ風 (Shonan no Kaze, Wind of Shonan?)"
MINMI started in music around 1996, performing at ruba dub showcases and hip hop events at the clubs in Osaka. MINMI's name was soon known in the club scene by her live performances. Her work with Red Spider and MIGHTY JAM ROCK became hits in the Reggae and Hip Hop markets.
MINMI’s first Maxi Single "The Perfect Vision" was released in the summer of 2002, but her 2nd Maxi Single "T.T.T.", released in December 2002, revealed her diverse approach to music. Her 1st Album "Miracle" was released in March 2003 and MINMI's first nationwide tour, “MINMI LIVE TOUR 2003 "Miracle"”, launched on June 20, 2003. The tickets were all sold out instantly.
