Kana has a unique style of singing. Or at least what you can call singing~
Kana has certainly made a huge impact on Visual Kei fans. Her support band was originally made up of Inojo on bass, Satoru on drums, and of course there was her guitarist and producer, Iori.
Technically, Kana's first concert, along with a few other appearances, took place when she was just 16, in 1998, but it wasn't until 2000 and 2001 that she officially began performing.
In comparison to the number of appearances she made, Kana's releases fell short. She started off 2000 by releasing two maxi-singles, Chimame and Hebi Ichigo, in February and September, respectively. Interestingly enough, Kana wrote the lyrics to Chimame when she was 17, during one of her classes at school. Hebi Ichigo is probably her most well known songs released to date, most likely because it is one of her 'easier' songs to get into.
In 2001 Kana released two more singles; Niku, which was released in November, is about turning 20, as the singer's 20th birthday was less than two months away. That same year, she released her first album, Doubutsu-teki Ningen.
Then came 2002, which marked the releases of another single, an album, and a DVD containing a collection of PVs. The following year was much quieter, with Kana releasing only one album.
Even though Kana didn't publish as many releases in the following years, she kept herself busy with many performances along with frequent photo shoots for the Gothic & Lolita Bible magazine, where most of her fame comes from, due to her striking sense of fashion.
2006 was the beginning of a wave of European events for the young artist. That same year, her support band members left and were eventually replaced by three Frenchmen: Guillaume Draipe, Christophe L.C.F. and Marco. It is currently unknown if they are also supporting Kana in Japan or not.
