hi fellow BRIGHT fan!! Can I ask about something?
Yes, what is it? ![]()
Hello, Im here to reply to your statement on Jang Guen Suk's news that he is going to be providing the theme song for Fairy tale and you said you were extremely disappointed. This is what you wrote
"As much as I like Jang Geun Suk, I am a bit disappointed (not a bit, EXTREMELY). As a purist for anime, I sincerely believe that openings/endings should be left for Japanese artists simply because the style of anime just does not fit with Korean music. To think that the producers of the Fairy Tail anime would think of doing such a thing, especially for the MOVIE. Unless he is able to make "anime music", I seriously am not looking forward to it."
Well note I mean to put this is a nice way so dont take it as me sounding or trying to be mean.
I don't know if you know this or not but JGS also knows Japanese. So the song will NOT be in Korean. He speaks Japanese fluently as it is obvious given the fact that he has made Japanese albums as well as Chinese and Korean with english in them. So he can speak 4 languages very well. You were probably mistaken so I thought I would tell you or remind you. ^_^ So please do not hate on JGS for he knows Japanese because if he didn't he wouldn't be sining an opening for a Japanese anime now would he?
I think you misunderstood what I meant. I know that JGS speaks/knows Japanese, just as most Korean idols today, and I never said that I had anything against him (in fact, I really like his acting), my problem is that the majority of Korean artists do not know how to produce the "anime music" feeling that you get when listening to the openings/endings. Koreans produce that "Korean pop" kind of music. The only exception I found to be was Younha (who has been known for being the queen of K-rock). The Fairy Tail movie is a pretty big deal, and the fact that this is his first anime song, I fear it may not go smoothly (and I can only hope it does).
