It has been earlier reported that hit Korean drama “Dream High” will have a Japanese stage play adaptation featuring singer-actor Yuya Matsushita as Song Sam-Dong and BRIGHT’s Nanaka as Go Hye-Mi.
In a recent press conference in Sunshine City at Ikebukuro, Tokyo, all main cast were present and were wearing their musical’s school uniforms. The main cast together with their group of dancers performed a live production number that showcase their dancing and singing talents.
Yuya Matsushita will play as Song Sam-Dong, a country bumpkin who went to the city to pursue his love for music. Yuya said that he can closely relate to Sam-Dong’s character, he did go to a vocal and dance school at a young age to pursue his dream. BRIGHT’s Nanaka, who will be playing as Go Hye-Mi, looks forward to everyone’s performances. “I think it’s interesting to see how much each of have grown,” she added.
The cast promised that the originally 16-episodes drama will be encompassed with Dream High Musical’s 3-hours play. The stage production will start on July 3rd to 10th at New National Theater in Tokyo.
