During a recent interview with reporters of Osen, A representative of YG Entertainment announced the exclusive contract with the company's upcoming 7-member girlband was finally signed and revealed the contract included a clause forbidding the girlband's members to undergo plastic surgery.
He stated, "The group is composed of members who have not undergone any form of plastic surgery. [...] We wanted to create a group where the focus is on natural beauty. While plastic surgery does have its advantages, it takes away one's natural charms though, which is a pity."
Beside that, he displayed much confidence in the new girl group's talent and looks. Then he explained, "The idea to create such a girlband was born out of a curiosity regarding how certain singers from other agencies would have developed had they been under YG Entertainment. YG values talent a lot but this time we paid attention to looks as well. This is absent in the music market right now."
The new girl group will debut early next year, and, as revealed earlier, one of the 7 members will be Superstar K2-participant, Kim Eun Bi.

I truly appreciate that YG is like this, they focus on talents more that's why they have the awsome-est artists in the Kpop industry.
Actually, when I want to listen to good music, I don't care what the artist looks like, though it really is a plus for ent. companies if they produce artists with great talents and great looks as well.

Wow what a move! But I hope this group has talent as well cause here in my country, Boy band and girl band sucks to the bottomless pit of shame cause they all had is looks but they didn't have any talent that is why they are only famous by looks not by any songs they sing. They even disappear in the industry nowadays cause I didn't hear any news about those trying hard groups

i'm pretty sure this rule won't do them any good since most of them probably have the surgery BEFORE they get into the groups and then they can pretend they didn't i guess

i find this group to be an anti snsd (because so many people claim snsd had plastic surgery)
I don't know if it's true or not, but some says Bom had plastic surgery. Her picture from long ago and now is waaaaaaaaay different.
i think thats a pretty good rule actually.
I can understand what they are trying to do with the no plastic surgery rule. At the end of the day even though a lot of people like bands and singers for their music, sometimes their looks can influence the fans and sometimes make them insecure especially when they've had plastic surgery. Knowing that their favourite groups are of natural beauty may make the fans feel better about themselves. On the other hand, this plastic surgery rule has its downsides, I mean what if they needed to have an operation for health purposes? But Im sure then they'd have to make an exception.
