Big Bang's agency, YG Entertainment, recently announced that the group will be back and better than ever this year with the release of their upcoming comeback album.
The previous year proved to be one of great adversity for the famed K-pop group, as leader G-Dragon faced charges of marijuana possession, while fellow member Daesung was involved in a traffic accident that left a motorcyclist dead. Although the group attended the MTV Europe Music Awards, where they were given the title of "Best Worldwide Act" for 2011, many fans in Korea, as well as Asia turned a cold shoulder on their impressive win.
However, it seems that the public's support for the group may have been renewed, as music fans have been buzzing in anticipation following a blog post on the YG Life blog last Saturday, which hinted "Big Bang is Back!" along with the group's logo.
In light of this, the head of YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk, recently explained that the agency's main focus for the first part of the year will be on Big Bang's successful return to the spotlight. Their first event for 2012 will be a concert, following the release of their album in March.
