UVERworld will release a new single titled "THE OVER" on August 29th. The song will be used as the theme song for the upcoming TBS drama "Kuro no Onna Kyoshi".
The band worked on the song during their spare time while on their nationwide tour. "We rented a studio in the countryside and wrote the lyrics. In Niigata, we looked for a place to sing, but couldn't find one, so we rented a house and recorded the song," band member TAKUYA shared.
Fellow band member Shintaro also revealed that the single went through a rerecording after the band decided to change it a little before its release. "It was a last-minute process, but we were able to settle down in a good direction," he stated.
"Kuro no Onna Kyoshi" follows the story of 3 female teachers at a high school who seem like normal teachers during the day, but at night they solve problems their students are having in exchange for money. The series stars Nana Eikura, Mikako Ichikawa and Satomi Kobayashi and airs every Friday.
