Would you listen to a group named "The Internal Organs"? Would you take a group member named "Big Castle" seriously? A new report revealed the original names some of your favorite groups and idols were supposed to be.
The most surprising original group name came from TVXQ. The group, back when it had 5 members, was original going to be named "O Jang Yook Boo", a phrase that signifies the body's internal organs, leading their English name to be "The Internal Organs". Instead, SM Entertainment went with TVXQ, which translates as "the rising gods of the east".
The Wonder Girls were originally called "L.C.", which stood for "Ladies Club". The original 5 members all had different stage names too. Sunye was originally named "Sunny", Sohee was "IC", Yenny was "Silver", HyunA was "Mint" and Sunmi was "Berry".
Big Bang was originally named "Diamond". T.O.P was named "Mark", Daesung was "Big Castle", Seungri was "Sonic" and Taeyang was "Taekwon". G-Dragon's name was not changed.
Super Junior's original name stuck, but some of its group members experienced name changes before debuting. Leeteuk was named "Kangsoo", Shindong was "Udong", Kangin was "Woongdam" and Kyuhyun was "Kwihyun".

Mark and Big Castle..... that.. thats just something I can't imagine. And I honestly don't even know which one is more ridiculous. I think "Big Castle is pretty stupid" but then, I picture TOP as a "Mark" and I laugh until I cry. ._.

I like Super Junior members' current names so much better..."Kangsoo" (for Leeteuk) reminded me of a kangaroo for some reason..."Udong" (for Shindong) made an image of a bowl of Japanese Udon noodles to pop up in my mind out of the blue...and "Kwihyun" (for Kyuhyun) seemed to be more like "Kiwi Hyung"...so, so glad that they stuck to their current names...
