On the latest episode of KBS 2TV's "Story Show Do Dream", TVXQ considered adding new members before deciding to continue as a duo.
In 2010, former TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu left the group due to disagreements with SM Entertainment's contract. The MC of the show asked, "Was there an attempt to add a new member during that time?"
"It would be a lie to say there wasn’t," they responded.
The reason the group never went through with the plans to replace the JYJ members was because of their 1st performance as duo at their SM Town concert. Despite being nervous and scared, they pulled off the performance, showing they could manage as a duo.
"That day, people told us it was going to be alright with just the two of us," Yunho said.

They have immense talent and perseverance, they will always be something special
They are a lot better now as a duo than when they were a five member group. The lineup is perfect as it is now.

Honestly... I don't know how well they work as a duo. I don't know if a new member would have been a good thing either though. Once something is broken, it's just hard to stop missing the original.

I don't know what it is but somehow I like it better for them to be a duo than a band of 5. Don't get me wrong when there was 5 it was still an awesome band
I would have just dishonored them if they did that. I am so glad they did not add ant new members. I think if they were thinking about replacing people they should replace everyone. I am not a fan of band members with age gapes like 7 and 5 years apart.

thats a relief, i wouldn't have liked it if they added new members. it wouldn't have made them stand out from other groups, they're good enough as a duo
New members would never blend in as good as the five of them do. And this way, there is always the hope of them being five again.
I think I gonna hate it if that happen....
it would be weird with new members... I want them back as they were..!
