Atsuko Maeda will have a solo song in AKB48's new album. It will be her last song as part of AKB48 as she graduates from the group in August.
AKB48's new album 1830m will be released on August 15th. Previously we have shown the track list and the very last song in the album will be "Sakura no Hanabira". "Sakura no Hanabiratachi" was AKB48's debut single back in 2006 and an independent release from their own label AKS. The single sold 22,000 copies in the first week and performed by the original Team A members of AKB48. The song was used in a TBS drama and also as a CM song for NTT DoCoMo. It was released again in 2008 with members from the newly formed Team K and Team B.
Atsuko Maeda was among the original Team A members that debuted with the group and one of the core members in bringing AKB48 to where they are today. She will graduate from the group on August 27th. Her solo song "Sakura no Hanabira (~Maeda Atsuko ver.~)" which is a ballad rendition to "Sakura no Hanabiratachi" will be included as the last song in 1830m.
