It was announced earlier this week that Kanae Hazuki’s shoujo manga "Sukitte Ii na yo (Say “I Love You”)" will be made into a live-action movie. The wraparound jacket band on the eleventh volume of the manga stated that the live-action will be released in Japan the following year. So far cast and staff information is still unknown.
The original manga reached 1 million copies in circulation in a record time, and has 5 million copies released to date.
The story follows a shy and insecure schoolgirl Mei Tachibana, that lives her life without knowing the joy of having friends or a boyfriend because of a childhood incident that made her not to trust people. By accident she injures Yamato Kurosawa, the most popular boy in school, who becomes interested in her straight away. The meeting of the two allows Mei to start her live anew, get friends and maybe find her first true love.
An anime adaptation by ZEXCS began airing on October 6, 2012, and generally had positive reviews. Something for those of you to check out who haven't yet seen it and can't wait for the movie to be released
