Stardom Entertainment Responds To Block B Lawsuit

After Block B filed a lawsuit against them for not paying the group since April of 2011, Stardom Entertainment has released a press release explaining their side of the story.

According to the agency, the company has paid the group what they were entitled to. While the group was supposed to paid on the 25th of every month, from the period of April 2011 to October of 2011, the company claims there was no earnings from the group, and thus was not obligated to pay them. Furthermore, their contract was changed in March of 2012 when the group members' parents visited and an agreement to pay them every 3 months was made.

Block B has also sued the company over $70,000 that the CEO, Mr. Lee, took from the group members' parents from promotional activities before disappearing, taking the money with him. Stardom Entertainment has revealed that Mr. Lee was only a manager for the company, but forged documents that called him the CEO. The company was not aware of these actions, but will be working with the police to take legal action against the man.

Stardom Entertainment has also claimed that Block B is not working alone in this lawsuit, but rather individuals behind the scenes are influencing the group's decision to sue the company, creating an atmosphere of resentment and mistrust between the group and its agency.

The company also explained that the reason the Block B members haven't appeared on talk shows. After the group's scandal due to their inappropriate behavior during an interview in Thailand, the group went through an 8 month reflection period. Afterwards, the members weren't able to make many broadcast appearances, placing the blame on the company when they had no say in the matter.

Stardom Entertainment will be working to try to resolve the issues brought up by the lawsuit.

I wonder who's telling the truth. And it looks like SM isn't the only entertainment who's abusing their talents.

Gosh, could you just simply pay them?

And if Block B's really gonna transfer, can you please go to YG? I think they still could fit in. Haha :D

Gosh. They should fix this at once! I really don't want to see Block B going down the drain. T_T

But... WTH. How could they not have known that there was someone forging documents and stuff? >_<; And why pay every three months? That isn't enough. It isn't good budgeting too.

hmmm, no income? Income is not only based on tv appearance, what about musicdownloads and the sale of physical cds? I don't believe it that a band makes no money at all during 6 months. Moreover, there are funds by their fanclubs and just playing their songs over radio or in a shop brings in money.
And the thing with the manager is really fishy, does that mean that Block B has never met their CEO even once if they can't differentiate between the actual CEO and a manager?
And with the agreement about paying every 3 months: I really hope that there is some evidence, otherwise the contract is still effective.

Stardom ent. is lying about no income, because they said that Mr. Lee ran with the money and it has nothing to do with them but Block B's report did mention that Stardom is just spreading out false statements. Stardom said Mr.Lee is just a manager, but from the beginning Stardom has agreed that Mr. Lee is the CEO..
Also, if you know Block B they're always WITHOUT a manager, so they have never met their manager because they really don't have one; So that basically mean they had to use their own pocket money to buy their own food, stuff etc. and one of the member (I think it was P.O?) had to give 800$ to the members so they could make their own living. The ''no-income'' is totally a lie, because even though the Thailand scandal did affect them much Block B still was half-active (especially in Japan) so there's plenty of evidences :D

Oh Cheezus, I meant the ''no-income'' is totally true** :p But I meant that Stardom lies about the ''no-income'' case, since they're taking Block B's income and lies about Mr. Lee case :(

Something smells fishy to me. How could the company not know about a guy who 'forged document's stating he was the CEO' and was really a manager who 'disappeared with 70,000' of money for promotional activities and are just now going after the guy with the police instead of going after him when it happened?
